CAS..New Home!

Post 53
I thought it time for a Clean And Simple card after the run of O.T.T cards I've done recently.
This is a new home card.

The stamp is from Polkadoodles, from the original neighbours range THESE are what are available now.
I coloured the house using pro markers. The card has been matted onto some blue coredinations card.

The label was printed out from my computer, die cut with a circle die and matted onto a scallop circle.

The flowers in the corner and on the label are from the stamp set and just finish off an empty corner.

And of course I had to doodle around it all.

On the inside I printed off the sentiment and stamped more flowers.
Hope you like todays card.

Thomas Kincade....enough said!

Post 51

Classic Thomas Kincade...lovely. This one is for my Mother in law. You just can't go wrong with a Thomas Kincade image from the Joanna Sheen cd rom. Printed onto canvas textured paper, the card is simply matted with white, lilac and purple card stock. With some paper piercing to frame it all.

Had to use my bracket borderabilities from spellbinders , any excuse!

The ribbon is from a delicious box of chocolates I had been bought ( not hard to guess the company!!!)
With a sparkly flat backed gem I found in my stash.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

A special card...

Post 50.
WoW! 50 posts, never thought I'd have the staying power to still be here 50 posts on!
This card is for a ladies Mum,who's going to be 80 in March....another Wow!
On the card I have used an image from Joanna Sheens cd rom Jayne Shaskys Heart of the Garden.

I printed the image onto a canvas texture paper.

I used various flowers from Wild Orchid crafts, and a couple of pearl topped hat pins to embellish the corner.

On the back of the card I used some extra pieces that are on the topper sheet from the cd.

The inside had a verse and faded versions of the images.

The card definately needed a box!

Hope you like todays card.

Caught a Bug!!

Post 49

Todays card is one I did for my big sis! She got a nasty stomach bug so I had to whip up a card. What better time to us my new stamps from Joanna Sheen , well new to me, they are the 'Kitchen jars' set of stamps

I stamped the large jar onto acetate and cut it out. The bug is also stamped on to the acetate, I restamped the bee  on some paper, gave it some colour and stuck it to the back of the jar using dries clear glue.

I thought it would be fun to have a bee buzzing around the card. So I stamped another bee onto some acetate, backed it's body with a coloured bee, then attached it to the card folded over the blue backing paper, so he would dangle and move.

The card need a sentiment.....'caught a bug!', says it all.

The card was finished off with some judder lines to make the jar look like it's on the verge of toppling and a few black gems.
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

One for the Golfers....

Post 48
Todays card is the card I made for my OH, whose birthday it is today!

The image is from Mosdigitalpencil, he's called Big Guy Golfing. I coloured him with my pro markers to co ordinate with the papers I had chosen. These are from Pink Petticoat, they are from various downloads from dots to chevrons and solid colours, the colours I chose to use are 'Ocean Breeze' and 'Old Olive'

I cut the golf balls out from some white paper and embossed some swiss dots, using the debossed side. Then I had to go on a hunt for a tee, in the summer there is one in every pocket of OH's trousers, and on every surface in the kitchen.....but NOT today!!! Hey Ho! Around it I tied some blue and white bakers twine.

The bunting I cut out from a sizzlit die called ' Flagpole with lantern and sign', I doodled some eyelets and string onto the bunting. And added more doodling around the card.

Just a plain greeting on the inside.

Hope you like today's card.
Happy crafting.

Been Playing!!!

Post 47
That is, I've been playing with my stash but not making cards.
I enjoy having a look around you tube for different projects to do with my stash. This is another from Pootles Papercraft which I've really enjoyed doing. The video link for the notebook holder is HERE. I'm sure I'll be trying out more of Sams designs.
As you can see I went a little potty with the note books...and these aren't all of them I gave two away before  got around to photographing them.
All the papers are from my digital stash, from Pink Petticoat, Funky Hand, Crafters Companion etc etc.

I'd made one for my older son , so of course I had to do one for my youngest!

Once Morrisons had been wiped out of jotter books , I started on the post it notes!!!!! Again from You tube the size of the covers were perfect for using the printed paper I had left  from the notebooks (I'd only printed an A5 piece of decorative paper!) HERE's the link for the post it cover tutorial.

Hope you like todays post.

A lack of Mojo!

Post 46
Good Morning blogland.
Today just a quick post.
I was lacking in mojo last week, so I went for a saunter around Pinterest, and found a beautiful, simple card from Jen  Nelson.
So I thought I'd get my mojo back on track by trying to reproduce Jens lovely card.
I printed off 6 sheets of the Big Dots paper from Pink Petticoat, all different but bright colours.
Each image was stamped and coloured, with promarkers, to co-ordinate with the chosen dotty back ground. All the ribbons were found in my ribbon tangle...the free purple one from a lush box of Cadbury's is one of my favourites!
The sentiments stamps are from  various stamp plates I have.
The cards were finished off with a variety of doodly stitches around the white paper and the dotty paper, and self adhesive pearls in the centre of each flower.

Hope you like todays cards.
A big Thanks to Jen and her post, for getting my mojo kick started.
Happy crafting.

Love this lady..

Post 45
Good evening crafty friends.
Todays card is another with the 'Macintosh Beauty' from Chocolate Baroque.
No colouring involved in this one!
I decided to keep things fairly simple, the lady is stamped and gilded with the Cosmic Shimmer Gilding flakes, from Creative Expressions, the set I used is called 'Sunlight Speckle'

For the best 'Wow' I just had to gild the image on black card.

I tried to keep the silver flakes on the face and gold on the bouquet of flowers.

Then I lost patience with the flakes fluttering everywhere and the rest of the image was randomly covered!!

I printed the sentiment and matted it on to black, and added some gems. The cream and black ribbons added to give more texture.

On the inside of the card I printed off the Happy Birthday, and then I remembered some stamps I bought, at least 8 years ago, Macintosh style. I used the little one on the inside of the card.

And the larger image on the back.

This is not the last time you'll be seeing this stamp here...I just LOVE it.
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Mackintosh Beauty...

Post 44
And she certainly is a beauty, I couldn't resist this new stamp set from Chocolate Baroque, 'Mackintosh Beauty', I HAD to resist buying the other stamp plates that compliment this one.....but they'll be there for another day!.

I coloured the image with pro markers. I decided to keep the colours soft on this one.

On the background I stamp and embossed in white, a couple of images from the stamp plate.
This was matted onto some apricot  coredinations.

The sentiment I printed off my computer, matted it and embellished it with some of the roses I cut out and decoupaged.

The insert simply had the single stem, coloured, and a sentiment with more roses just on the corner to frame it.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.
