Very Flat...Very postable!!!!

Post 6.
Todays card is made for someone who requested a flat card to keep the postal charges at bay. It's also for a young lady in her early 20's, so when I saw this Mo Manning image, I thought it was perfect.
As I already mentioned the image is from MosDigitalPencil it's called 'Cara Chatting'.  I've used the ever faithful Promarkers to colour her in, using the papers I chose to influence my colouring choice.
The papers are called 'Sweet Sprinkles' , a free download from ShabbyPrincess . I matted some vivid orange coredinations card stock onto a 6x6 card, then using a spellbinder nestie, I cut some of the striped paper for an added layer. The dotty ribbons and faux stapled ribbon, (part of the freebie from Shabby Princess) were layered on to the card. The image has been put into a frame (also part of the freebie!!!) using Serif Craft Artist 2.
The sentiment stamp from Liliofthevalley has been stamped in memento ink onto one of the papers, then the present and balloons coloured then glazed. The little orange ribbon on the sentiment, I recall having cut out of a tee-shirt I bought, added for texture.
The card has been finished off using some of the papers die cut into circles then added to the frame...these have also been glazed to add a little more texture. Then the card has been finished off with a little doodling around the card and paper ribbons.

Finally the inside of the card has another Lili of the Valley sentiment stamped in it and strips of left over paper used to co-ordinate....then of course a little more doodling to complete the card.
Hope you like todays.
Happy Crafting.

A Special Card

Post 5.
Todays card is kind of special...it's for my Dad to give to Mum........all stops had to be pulled out!!!

The image is called 'Checking FB' downloaded from mos digital pencil. She's been coloured using Promarkers.

The patterned paper I used is from a Dovecraft paper pack called 'Garden Party' all matted onto                    core-dinations card stock
I added some glaze to the mug for extra detail, and the card behind the image was embossed using Spellbinders M-bossabilities folder ES-005
The card was finished off with numerous flowers from my stash, some creative expression crinkle ribbon, a couple of pearl hat pins, along with self adhesive pearls in the corners and finally a little of the obligatory doodling around the edges.
The inside of the card had a faded version of the image and the sentiment matted onto co-ordinated cardstock.
Now a bulky card like this required more than an envelope....and I don't have big enough cardstock for an envelobox!!!!..So a box had to be made.
Apologies for the photo...can't turn it !!!!! The box was made with Centura pearl cardstock and again decorated in co-ordinated card.
Hope you like todays card.

Retirement...

Post 4.
Good Morning Blogland.....my mojo melted when the sun came out 2 weeks ago!! Not complaining mind you, I just wish I was on the cool coast to get a whiff of air through the 30 degree heat Phew!!!!
My card today is a rush job for someone who is retiring on Friday........pressure cards don't always work out so well.

The patches are swatches of paper printed off the Artilicious' Decadant Brocade' cd rom, a cd I've had for years and still love the beautiful papers. Matts of white and black card stock, shaped with a nestability die.
I've cut the squares using a  scalloped nestability square...the smallest one.
The flourish is a sizzlits die...a freebe when I bought my beloved Big Shot. And finished off with some paper roses from the stash.

The back and insert are co-ordinated using more die cut patches.

I've doodled around the whole card using white sakura souffle pen, or a black fine liner. To high light the patches and to give a little sparkle when the light hits, I've used a Sakura stardust pen.

To finish I've made an envelobox, using the Crafters Companion Envelobox board , and again used more patches to co-ordinate.
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting .. stay cool!!

Little Darlings!

Post 3.
Really need to post more!! As I've been so lazy at posting for the last week here are a few cards...3 for the price of 1! Woop Woop!!

This first is the digi stamp 'Ava' from Saturated Canary. The majority of the image is coloured using the pro markers 'warm greys' no's 1-5, the papers are again the 'Paris Nights' collection from GCD studios. I used a free banner stamp from 'Craft Stamper' magazine, to create the bunting. And finally spellbinders have been used to cut Ava out and shape the bottom of the card, using a fake nestie technique to mat the image on to.

My second card...also a Saturated Canary image, this time it's 'Honey' I've stamped and coloured using co-ordinating pro markers, the papers I've used are the 'Bloom and Grow' collection from 'My Mind's eye', matted onto red card stock, using spellbinders dies to cut out the image, fake nestie and shape the bottom of the card. The sentiment is a 'Lily of the Valley' stamp.

Finally the lovely 'Blanche' stamp. Coloured this time in the pro marker 'ice greys', with a contrasting flash of bright green. Spellbinders are used for the matting and layering, a Sizzix sizlets die was my source for the flourish, another Lily of the Valley sentiment has been used along with the ribbon and self adhesive pearls to finish off.

Romance in the air!

Post 2.
Morning world!
Todays card is as you see an anniversary card.
The paper is a beautiful flock which I uncovered from my stash, it's from a  Laura Ashley collection called 'Love song' and it feels devine! The Clarity stamps 'letterbox' set have also been used, along with black card stock for matting/ layering, self adhesive pearls, organza ribbon and a white gel pen for finishing touches. I thought a basic cut and stick , and very flat and postable card was in order.
Have a crafty day.

Launching into Blogland!!!

Post no. 1.
My intrepid toe is dipping in to blog land.
I'm here to share some card creations I've rustled up. I've been so inspired by the many blogs I browse, I thought it was time to give back. Hope you enjoy.

This first card,  I made, after seeing a tutorial on you tube....hope the link works!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiGx9QxrTZM

It work like a 'flip-its' card , various dies are available from sizzix to achieve the same effect, but I wanted to use the many spellbinder dies I've aquired over the years. After trawling the internet I found the above tutorial, and adapted it to use any spellbinder nestability and any size base card.
I've used g.c.d paper collection 'Paris Nights', Tim Holtz 'Elegant Flourishes' die, Joanna Sheens 'Cameo JS347' rubber stamp, and Clarity stamps 'Letter box' alphabet.
All for now.
