Blue poppy

Post 95
Good morning crafty friends. Todays card is using a fairly old stamp from Sheena Douglass called 'Poppies and Daisies'. Stamped on watercolour cards and coloured Derwent watercolour pencils and Derwent inktense pencils.
The background is also some water colour card, I smooshed some distress ink onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water added some inktense pencil shavings (just the colour not the woody bit!!), this gives areas of truly intense colour. Then sank my paper into it and whizzed it around until I got a background I was happy with.

It's quite difficult to see but I added some shimmer to the heads of the poppies with the sakura stardust pen, then water brushing it out to spread around the flower.

I made sure my background was completely dry before using my anti static bag and stamping the sentiment and embossing it in black. This is another fabulous stamp from the 'Say it in Style' set by Clearly Besotted Stamps.

The card and image are all matted on black card and finished with some black gems.
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Mackintosh panels.

Post 94

Goodness me , where does the time go???? I certainly haven't a clue!
Hey Ho! Todays card is using one of my favourite freebie stamps from 'Craft Stamper', I think it was Chocolate Baroque who designed it.

The card is a tent fold base. I used some black and teal card stock for my mats.

The image was stamped on to watercolour card, using Stayzon, and coloured using my Lyra aquacolors, I originally embossed this 3rd panel like the two above, but when I added the colour it just didn't look right!.  This panel is the only one I matted onto some black card , just to make it pop!

The upper panels were stamped with versamark and silver embossed.

The greeting is also silver embossed, it's a stamp from Clearlybesottedstamps, called 'Say it in Style'

The card was finished off with two fine strips of card down the left edge.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Flamenco!!!!

Post 93
Todays card is a commision, the brief was flamenco...red and black.
I had to hunt down a suitable image, I found this lovely lady at MayzyArt, 'Digi Dancer:Flamenco'. She was such fun to colour, using pro markers.

The card is a 7x7 base matted with black, white and red card. I used Sue Wilsons  'Lattice heart' striplet die to sit under the image. A sizzix 'Sassy Label' has been used for the computer printed greeting. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid crafts. And the card finished off with some black gems.

I used my Sakura clear stardust on her flowers.

And , as I love it at the moment, cut out the letters for Daughter , three times, so I could stack them and make them look like chipboard letters.

The inside was to be left without verse....this looked far too plain! So using the 'Bridal Bouquet' stamps from Clearly Besotted Stamps, I decorated the corners of the insert.

The box had the simple sentiment 'For You', cut with the sassy labels, and finished off with flowers and black gems.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

New home...

Post 92
Todays card is for our neighbours , who will be moving on before the end of the month.
I've used the balloon stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps called 'Make a Wish'.
I started, once again, with an A6 tent fold card. I stamped the clouds , from Lawn Fawns 'In to The Woods' onto the blue card and embossed in white. The house is from Polkadoodles original neighbours range, and coloured using my distress markers.

I stamped the balloons with Hero arts shadow ink, in a variety of colours, then cut the out with the co ordinating dies.

I don't know if you can tell, but I used my Sakura clear stardust pen on some of the balloons, diluting the shimmer out with my water brush.

The sentiment is a stamp, also from Polkadoodles called 'Sensational Sentiments Stamp Set', this has been embossed, then cut into a flag. The card has been finished off with some faux stitching around the card, and a few birds drawn into the background.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

More Birthday wishes....

Post 91

Todays card follows on from yesterday....the card for the other twin! Again my main image is a digi stamp from Saturated Canary called 'Windy Day'. Once again she is water coloured using my distress markers. I stuck to similar colours as yesterday...just adding a little pink into the mix.

The sentiment is from LOTV's 'Grungy sentiments' stamps.

The sakura stardust pen had to come out again, and the gems.

The inside had the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamp 'Make a Wish' and a couple of balloons to finish.

Hope you like todays card.

Birthday Wishes

Post 90

Todays card is one of two I needed to do for some twins. The image is from Saturated Canary, a digi stamp called Ava. I'll admit I was having a hard time deciding on my colours so I got inspiration from pinterest.
I'm back to A6 cards, this one covered with green coredinations card and rounded at the corner.
The sentiment is from a set by Clearly Besotted Stamps, called 'Say it in Style', then cut into a banner at one end and inked around the edge.

The balloon has a little sparkle, I didn't want to use glitter so I scribbled a little of my Sakura clear Stardust pen around the outer edge of the balloon and used a wet brush to move it over the rest of the balloon. Subtle and no shedding!!!

Ava has been water coloured using my Distress markers. Loving water colour at the moment!!

I've used the star dust pen a few more times on some of the layers on her dress..
She was finished off with some self adhesive gems placed randomly around her.

The balloons and sentiment are also from Clearly Besotted stamps, called 'Make a Wish', this set has a fabulous co ordinating die set.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Blue Wedding!

Post 89
Love this wedding image of the 'Wedding Couple' from Lili of the Valley

The image was stamped on some water colour card and distress markers used to water colour. This was cut out using the spell binders die 'Labels 18'.

The card has been matted on some paper from a christmas paper pad called 'Silent Night' by First edition. And decorated with some crochet ribbon and a silver heart charm. Some flourishes have been added, cut from the paper pad.

I finished the card with some lovely flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and self adhesive pearls.

Inside I used a stamp from Just Rite 'Celebrations Lables One and bracket borders', and decorated with flowers punched with the Stampin up Petite petals punch.

A box HAD to be made...of course.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Love the girlie cards...

Post 88

Todays card is using an image which I immediately loved. The card is a simple A5 card matted with red card, onto which I layered dsp from Stampin up ( both the polka dots and floral are from the same paper pad). The beautiful image is called 'Big Shoes' and  shes courtesy of the wonderful Mosdigitalpencil. She is coloured using promarkers...the colours co ordinating with the papers.

The heart in the corner is a die cut using Lawn Fawn, heart die , then glittered.

The flowers were punched out of some more of the paper from the collection with the Stampin up Petite petal punch.

On the inside I die cut a speech bubble, from Clearly Besotted Stamps (another fab company I've found whilst not maintaining my blog!!!.....time well spent me thinks!!!)

Gardener Gayle

Post 87

Todays card is using a stamp I've had a while now, 'Gardener Gayle' , a Little Darlings stamp. I decided to have a go at water colouring this image. I stamped onto water colour paper with archival ink. The colours I used were a mixture of Distress marker and Lyra aqua colours.

I used a Lili of the Valley stamp for the sentiment 'Everyday Grungy Messages'

To finish off I stuck some self adhesive gems around the image and a few punched flowers in the corner.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy Crafting.
