Persian Motifs...

Post 153

Todays card uses the absolutely fabulous stamp set from Altenew, 'Persian Motifs'...needed this set for just SSOOOO long!!

I use some watercolour card to stamp and emboss the flowers, I did all my stamping, including the greeting before sprinkling on the olympic gold lustre embossing powder from Creative Expressions, and by happy accident some of the powder stuck to the sentiment, giving it an unusual but great look.

The flowers were painted using my Gansai Tambi watercolours from Kuretake

You can see my happy accident with the sentiment and embossing powder here. It has given it a kind of ombre' effect, moving from the black ink to the translucent gold....lovely.

The card was mounted onto a DL sized card, with a strip of coordinating card down one side.

Hope you like todays card.

Out with the girls!!!

Post 152
Such a fun image to colour!!! Love it. This is the wonderful 'Uptown Girls' from Art Impressions

The girls were stamped and embossed on watercolour paper, and painted using my gamsai tambi watercolours from Kuretake.

I then fussy cut out the image, once it had fully dried, I truly hate fussy cutting , but my friend is worth it!
To finish, the greeting was cut from the Happy die by Mama Elephant and the birthday stamped from their 'Surprise sentiments'

The sunglasses were treated to some glossy accents and the handbags some wink of stella clear.

Hope you like todays card.

Simply Happy Birthday

Post 151
Todays card certainly turned out better than I thought it would.
Using Altenews stamps 'Floral Motif', I stamped, embossed in gold and masked the flowers, to build up the arrangement. I'll be honest it looked terrible once the embossing was finished, but I persevered and went on to paint it with my Gansai Tambi water colours from Kuretake.

It surprised me how the image just came to life, and I instantly love it once the first flower was painted.

I used the mama Elephant 'Happy' die in a rich red card and stamped the birthday under it.

I used some fun foam under the panel to give dimension, and stuck it to my base card, to which I had added a strip of the red card I'd used for the die cut.

Hope you like todays card.

Orange Lotus

Post 149
Todays card I'm using the wonderful Lotus stamp set from Waffle Flower.
With this , I stamped and embossed in white, then masked the images as I stamped the next

I used my Kuretake Gamsai Tambi water color paints to colour the image.

I finished the image with a doodled line all the way around the image.

Both dragonflies have had their wings glittered with the Wink of Stella clear pen.

And all backed onto some orange card.

Hope you like todays card.

Unforgettable elephant

Post 148
Good morning crafty friends. Today's card was inspired by the card made on this video HERE thanks Julia for the inspiration.
With Julias card in mind I thought it would be fun to have the elephant blundering through the words, catching a letter on his way through.

The elephant and his balloon is from the W plus 9 stamp set 'Unforgettable', after laying out the birthday letters, from Mama Elephant, 'Block party'.
I stamped the elephant, then masked him and proceeded to stamp the letters around him.

I used my distress markers to watercolour the image, giving the letters an ombre look.
The card was matted on to some Lawn Fawn decorative paper then onto the card base.
Finishing things off with some faux stitching.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy craftying.

Lotus 60th

Post 147
Todays card uses the beautiful stamps from Waffle Flower called 'Lotus'. Simply stamped and embossed using some green lustre powder from cosmic shimmer.

Then painted using my much loved Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colour.

I cut out the numbers and stamped around using a mish mash of stamp sets to get the greeting I needed.

The panel was finished off with some sequins and a co ordinating strip of card under the main panel.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.
